Sharaz has held senior positions in several blue-chip organizations including Credit Suisse First Boston, JP Morgan, Man Financial and over the last decade was the CEO in the MENA region for ICAP (FTSE 100) and ED&F Man capital markets.

With extensive knowledge of managing international blue-chip organizations, he has been a pioneer in bringing derivatives broking to the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and has frequently been invited by the Dubai Financial Service Authority (DFSA) as a special guest at high profile meetings to discuss topics from the future of cryptocurrency, its impact on the global economy to regulatory changes. He regularly interacted with the Bank of England whilst working for Man Financial and has also been a guest speaker for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (World’s leading derivatives exchange).

Sharaz has held several regulatory positions including being an authorized person by the Financial Conduct Authority (UK), Approved Person DFSA (Dubai), National Futures Association (U.S.A). He holds an MBA in Finance – JP Morgan in association with Columbia University, New York (1994) and BA Hons Economics & Politics University of Essex (1990 – 1993).

A qualified ICC Cricket Coach, Sharaz is a passionate supporter of the game and when not in the gym or reading articles across diverse sectors from politics to retail trends, he can be found driving around his kids to various sporting events.
